Given that the refusal to provide services may potentially restrict or limit the exercise of women’s or men’s human right to health, the right to the use of conscientious objection is commonly subject to limitations. A provider’s conscientious objection affects another person, whose rights to autonomy, respect, health and justice, and sometimes life, depend on the timely provision of a health service.
