Through a myriad of innovative approaches, the RHI has brought together the diversity of expertise and resources offered by both local and international civil society organizations, which in turn has resulted in the accumulation of a wide range of experiences. Most importantly, this ambitious and successful undertaking has served the most vulnerable and neglected populations in South and Southeast Asia and demonstrates the commitment of all actors, including the European Commission, towards the ICPD Programme of Action.
This publication summarises a selection of some of the lessons learned, best practices and success stories resulting from over 4 years of implementation of the RHI. A collective effort of the RHI partners, the "Learning from Partnerships" publication has been co-ordinated by UNFPA with the assistance of the "Information and Communication Network" (ComNet), implemented by the German Foundation for World Population (DSW).
"Learning from Partnerships" not only marks the end of the first phase of the "AsiaInitiative," but also heralds the start of the second phase of this initiative, the EU/UNFPA Reproductive Health Initiative for Youth in Asia (RHIYA).
