Unprecedented public health actions restricting movement and non-COVID related health services are likely to have affected abortion care during the pandemic in Europe. In the absence of a
common approach to ensure access to this essential health service, we sought to describe the variability of abortion policies during the outbreak in Europe in order to identify strategies that improve availability and access to abortion in times of public health crises.
Authors collected information from 46 countries/regions: 31 for which country-experts completed a survey and 15 for which they conducted a desk review. They describe abortion regulations and changes to regulations and practice during the pandemic.

The organised opposition to sexual and reproductive rights has gone digital. Technology provides incredible opportunities to democratise access to reproductive health information, services, and care. It can play a vital role in protecting the lives of those needing sexual and reproductive health information and care, especially in places where access is otherwise impossible. Simultaneously, those standing in opposition to reproductive rights are developing and promoting digital tools and tactics that attempt to curtail the ability of people to exercise their reproductive rights. The exploitation of data by the opposition movement is just beginning. As this report shows, the utility of data to rapidly and precisely target content online, to uncover a person's location, to understand people's mindsets and lifestyles, is not unknown to those fighting against reproductive rights. Privacy experts and reproductive rights organisations globally must work together to expose and advocate against such data exploitation.
The right to privacy is one of the precedents used to establish reproductive rights. The primary link between the two stems from the fact that laws and policies which impede upon individuals' rights to access sexual and reproductive health services may also interfere with individuals' right to privacy and to make autonomous decisions as it pertains to their health and fertility. Reproductive rights are necessary for bodily autonomy.

The publication stems from serious concerns that in Poland, pluralism and related constitutional values are being jeopardized.
It aims at identifying and exposing the activities and strategies of Christian fundamentalists who seek to abolish the principles of secular law in Poland. The authors believe that the counterrevolution in Poland is being implemented by the Institute of Legal Culture, Ordo Iuris.
The goal of returning to ultra-conservative values at a national and even European level requires the use of extensive strategies. The texts posted on the Agenda Europe website focus mainly on the sphere of human sexuality.
Public debate needs to be formed so that public opinion recognizes the need for specific changes. It is also about evoking fear and creating belief that without bans or restrictions our civilization will immerse into chaos and nihilism.
For the purposes of our publication, these strategies have been named and described so that the reader can easily understand what activities we are talking about.

In 2018, Argentina underwent a historical debate on the right to abortion. Over a period of three months, 845 speakers both for and against legalization expressed their opinions and presented their knowledge at the committees' plenary sessions of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate, and 235 legislators expressed their conclusions during the voting sessions in those Chambers. Despite the Senate's rejection of the Bill, over a year after the debate, the social interest and mobilization that resulted from it still persist. However, together with the "green wave" and the social decriminalization of abortion, some conservative and even reactionary demands and anti-choice movements appeared and gained visibility both in Argentina and throughout the region. In order for us to act against those anti-choice groups in a coordinated and organized manner, we must know their strategies and arguments. This document compiles their discourse strategies during the legislative debate which took place in Argentina between April and August, 2018. We hope it will contribute to the social and legislative debates in Latin America and to the continued growth of the "green wave."

2018 was the thirteenth consecutive year in which states with negative democratic development outnumbered those with positive democratic development. The international CIVICUS network classifies the space for civil society in all UN member states in categories ranging from closed to open. Their April 2017 compilation shows that only three percent of the world's population live in what can be considered open societies for civil society organizations. Around 44 percent live in states where civic space is either completely closed or subjected to severe restrictions. Actors in civil society face increasing social, financial and legal restrictions as well as threats against themselves and their families and even physical violence. Restrictions and attacks on civil society have detrimental consequences for women's rights and SRHR, including LGBTIQ activists who already face structural discrimination and often depend on civil society as the only sphere where they can express themselves and organize. Increasing religious fundamentalism and the close ties and frequent interaction between religious institutions and the state means that women's reproductive rights are under constant attack. In this study we look more closely at the situation for SRHR including LGBTIQ activists with help from interviewees in partner organizations of RFSU around the world. We asked them about the obstacles they experience in their work to advance SRHR rights; their strategies to get the work done in difficult circumstances; and what they consider to be the factors that enable them to do their work.
